Maintain a structured inventory of your elevators and escalators for better AI-assisted diagnostics.
Why Manage Assets
When you keep detailed asset records, you can link specific equipment to your chat conversations. This gives the AI context about the exact make, model, controller, motor, and door operator — resulting in more precise troubleshooting guidance.
Adding and Editing Assets
Admins can create asset records with the following fields: name, category (Elevator, Escalator, or Other), serial number, asset ID, manufacturer, model, motor model, controller and version, door operator make and model, full address (street, city, state, country, zip code), operational status (Operational, Under Breakdown, Scheduled Maintenance, or Test), and a description.
Navigate to Asset Management from the sidebar (Admin only).
Click 'Add Asset' and fill in the available fields.
Select the category and set the operational status to reflect the current state of the equipment.
Save the record — it will now be available for linking in chat sessions via the Resolve Asset Issue quick action.
Bulk Import
If you have many assets to add at once, use the Upload CSV button to bulk import asset data. A sample CSV template is available for download to help you format your file correctly.
Download the sample CSV to see the expected column format (Name, Category, Serial Number, Asset ID, Model, Manufacturer, motor/controller/door fields, address fields, Operational Status, Description).
Prepare your CSV file with the required columns filled in.
Go to Asset Management and click Upload CSV.
Upload your file, review the parsed rows for accuracy, and confirm the import.
Fix any validation errors highlighted during review and retry if needed.
Asset Management is an Admin-only feature. Keeping asset data accurate and up to date directly improves the quality of AI-assisted diagnostics and helps your team coordinate on equipment status.
